At Tanholt, we want every customer to shop with confidence. We take care in selecting, inspecting and packaging our leather accessories to ensure they reach you in excellent condition.

If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, we're here to help.

1. Your Right to Cancel

Under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, customers purchasing online generally have the right to cancel their order within 14 days of receiving their goods, without giving a reason.

For orders containing multiple items delivered separately, the cancellation period generally begins after the final item is received.

To exercise your cancellation right, please email us at tanholtuk@gmail.com within the applicable cancellation period.

You must clearly inform us of your decision to cancel. You do not need to provide a reason.

Once you have notified us, you generally have a further 14 days to return the goods.

These rights are subject to any applicable statutory exceptions.

2. Return Eligibility

You may inspect and handle your purchase as you would reasonably be permitted to do in a physical shop.

For change-of-mind returns, we recommend that:

  • The product is returned in its original packaging, where possible.

  • Any accessories or components supplied with the product are included.

  • The item is packaged securely to prevent damage during transit.

  • You retain proof of return postage.

Original packaging is not a legal requirement for exercising your statutory cancellation right.

If goods have been handled beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, we may make a lawful deduction from the refund for any resulting reduction in value, where permitted by law.

3. How to Return an Item

To request a return:

  1. Email tanholtuk@gmail.com with your order number.

  2. Tell us which product you wish to return.

  3. We will provide return instructions and the appropriate return address.

  4. Package the item securely and send it back within the applicable return period.

  5. Keep your proof of postage until your refund has been completed.

You do not need to wait for our approval before exercising your statutory right to cancel.

Return Address: you will get that on the label.

Please do not send returns to an address other than the designated return address.

4. Return Shipping Costs

For change-of-mind cancellations, customers are responsible for the direct cost of returning goods, provided this responsibility has been communicated before purchase as required by law.

If an item is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or does not meet statutory requirements, Tanholt will cover reasonable return costs where legally required.

We recommend using a delivery service that provides proof of postage.

5. Refunds

Once we receive your returned goods, or evidence that you have sent them back, we will process your refund in accordance with UK consumer law.

For valid statutory cancellations:

  • We will refund the price paid for the cancelled products.

  • We will refund the original standard delivery charge where legally required.

  • Additional charges for premium delivery services are not necessarily refundable.

  • Refunds will be made to the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise.

  • We will not charge a refund administration fee.

Where we are legally entitled to wait for the return of goods, refunds will be issued within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or receiving evidence that they have been sent back, whichever is earlier.

If no goods have been supplied, the applicable refund deadline is generally 14 days after we are informed of your cancellation.

Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to display the refund.

6. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products

If you receive an item that is faulty, damaged or different from what you ordered, please contact us at tanholtuk@gmail.com.

Please include your order number and a description of the issue. Photographs may help us investigate, but they are not an absolute condition of your statutory rights.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be:

  • Of satisfactory quality.

  • Fit for their intended purpose.

  • As described.

Customers generally have a short-term right to reject faulty goods within 30 days of delivery.

After this period, customers may be entitled to repair, replacement, a price reduction or a refund depending on the circumstances.

Your statutory rights may continue beyond 30 days.

Where legally required, Tanholt will bear reasonable costs associated with returning faulty or incorrectly supplied goods.

7. Exchanges

If you would like a different belt size or design, please contact us at tanholtuk@gmail.com.

Exchanges are subject to stock availability.

If an exchange is not available, you may return the item under your applicable cancellation or statutory consumer rights and place a new order.

Additional delivery charges for voluntary exchanges will be explained before you agree to them.

Nothing in this section limits your rights concerning faulty or incorrectly described goods.

8. Personalised Products

Certain goods made to a customer's specifications or clearly personalised may be excluded from the statutory 14-day cancellation right.

This exception applies only where permitted by law.

Standard belt sizes or ordinary stock selections do not automatically qualify as personalised goods.

Faulty or incorrectly described personalised products remain subject to statutory consumer rights.

9. Missing or Delayed Refunds

If you have not received an expected refund:

  1. Check your original payment account.

  2. Contact your bank or payment provider to confirm whether the refund is pending.

  3. If the refund is still missing, email tanholtuk@gmail.com with your order number.

We will investigate the issue and assist you.

10. Order Cancellations Before Dispatch

If you wish to cancel an order before dispatch, please contact us as soon as possible.

Where the order is eligible for statutory cancellation, we will process the cancellation and refund within the applicable legal timeframe.

If your order has already been dispatched, you may still exercise your statutory cancellation rights.

11. Your Statutory Rights

This policy does not affect your rights under applicable UK consumer legislation, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Any additional return arrangements offered by Tanholt operate alongside, and do not replace, your statutory rights.
